I am changing cams and I am seriously starting to think about going roller, I have a set of roller lifters out of a 5.0 in a truck, I haven't looked them over yet, but can I use them on a new cam, or is there something that I need to check? Also will I need shorter pushrods, or will the current pushrods work with a cam with the reduced base circle use the same length ones? ------------------ 1970 coupe restored with the help of my dad. 306 with 600 holley, Weiand Stealth intake, headers, Comp cam, harland sharp roller rockers, kb pistons, 10.3:1 compression ratio, pertonix ignitor 2 with matched coil, lakewood bellhousing, 4-speed toploader, and 2.79 open 8" rear. Soon to be 9" 3.50 trac-lok 1986 f-150, 5.0, factory towing package with original c-6 trans

You can use the old lifters, but at $130 for a set of brand new FRPP units why would you? Yes, you will need substancially shorter push rods. FYI, you can only use OEM style hydraulic roller lifters in a roller block.
