One of the speed shops in Birmingham carries them. I looked at one up close. Looked like it was cast by a couple of drunk monkeys with a bucket full of molten aluminum. They have without a doubt the worst as-cast runners and plenum I have ever seen in any intake. The guys at the speed shop told me they sell lots of them to street rod guys because they can buy it with a factory polished finish for the same price as a non-polished Ebok intake. These guys are far more worried about looks than performance. Later, David Cole [This message has been edited by Dave_C (edited 03-04-2004).]

That's not bad, mine have 7.5" of backspacing. And that's a 15x12 rim with a 14x32 tire. It's as big as I can fit under the car. There is room for more tire if I could get a bigger rim, but the rear end needs narrowed more to make that work. I would love to run a 16x33 tire. Not sure where you can get a decent used injection system. The guys that buy them and have luck with them keep them. Only the guys that can't get them to work sell them, and then you're buying someone else's headache.

My dad has one on his car and it works fantastic. Our buddy also runs a dual toilet on a bbc (was in a 63 'Vette Pro Mod style car) and has no problems with his. And actually, he bought Speer's dragster this past winter and is putting his motor in it. KK's brother has one on his car. His is a strange one. It works real well also.

I should add, I would love to put a 'toilet' on my car, but I just can't afford it right now. I probably could afford it if I sold my alchy carb and fuel pump, but it works so well I am afraid to get rid of it.

The company that has the intake is called Dirt Track Thunder from Ames, Iowa. About an hour from my house. That particular company Im not too crazy about myself. I bought an SFI Chrome balancer from them off of Ebay (Alex seen it)and noticed it came in a "Made in Taiwan" box. The balancer looked really good though. Until I went to install it and found it stamped 30* off. With the stock balancer on the timing mark was at zero, when I pulled the stock one off and put on the SFI one, it was at 30*. No wonder why the racecar would not start. I called Tony up (owner) and he said they had troubles with one other one and to send it back for a full refund. I got my money back and bought one from Alex like I should have done to begin with. Tony said that they had 4 others on the shelf that were the same way as the one I had. He is also co-owner of a VERY reputable Stock Car place called Midwest Motorsports also in Ames. They are a very big place and I have bought numerous things from them including engine parts from their Kansas City store. Hope this helps, Steve.

I'm keeping mine for sure. Love the Toilet. Works great and when dialed in I've found I only need one jet change per season. I have one for hot weather and go one size richer for cool weather. The only thing that might be better in my case would a tunnel ram with two toilets instead of one. The Victor intake was designed for a 460. It's pushed past it's limits with a 557. A used toilet can be made to work IF you have the right parts. The biggest problem I see is people trying to use the wrong size fuel pump. Any small block or mild big block only needs a "0" pump. Hotter big blocks use the "0 1/2" pump. All the rest can be changed, nozzles, jets and pills. You might try James Monroe. He is the #1 Ron's distributor and a great guy to work with. He sometimes takes trade-ins or he can set you up right the first time with either a new system complete for $1425. Or, if you find a used system he can also set you up with the correct nozzles, pill and barrel valve setting. James Monroe: http://www.killerrons.com/index.html Later, David Cole

If you buy a Toliet used or otherwise DEFINATELY give James Monroe a call. His number is on his web site. I also have a link to his web site on my web site. if I hear of a used toliet I'll let you know. Some folks get rid of their toliets to upgrade to a terminator or a hat or a stack injection system. So it doesn't have to be some one else's junk, although that does Happen alot. ------------------ JS Run what you brung and hope you brung enough! 69 Mustang Pro ET Drag

Dave,I'll have to call him to find out if he's got any trade-ins.A new setup would be great but not in the budget right now. I've read quite a few posts on James Monroe on Bracket Talk and he comes highly recommended...nothing but good comments. thanks,Gene------------------ This is FORD COUNTRY, where on a quiet night, you can hear a chevy rusting

JS I've been told the toilet is simple but but can become complicated at times if ya dont start real close to the write setup A friend of mine bought a like new setup at a swap meet for $600.00.Worked great for about 3 outings then the car droped a tenth or so turns out there was a restriction in one of the lines, supply or return, that he got with it.That explained the low price the seller said he wasnt happy with it ..wounder why:rolleyesBut now it works great and what deal.thanks,Gene

I've heared the professional products work well, just the castings are rough, just get a die grinder and some sand rolls and clean up the ports before you install it. I have heared you can get a polshed version for cheaper than the plain "original" thing. As I saw onebefore I think its a copy of the stealth....
