Whats the easiest way to narrow axle tubes myself. I'm trying to avoid buying an alignment bar, and I'm an excellent fabricator so I dont want to pay someone else.

(unless the price is really right)

If you have the fab skills....make your own bar....cut the ends off...(square as possible)determine the new width you need...(factoring in the ends) and then weld it back together......Good Luck...

You'll need hubs for the bar the same dia. as your bearings. Keep everything squared up and weld spots 180 degrees apart until it's solid.

Maybe I can find someone if I talk around who has access to a machine shop and can make me the parts I need. I can't run a mill.

Actually you need a lathe, or you can buy the stuff from Currie, Moser, etc.
