i was looking them over more carefully and found D8OE i thought they were the E7`s cause they have the pedastle mount rockers the reason why i have the `84 heads is because my dad ground into the waterjacket on my original heads so i had to get these ones anyways what are the cc`s on these heads------------------ Tyler Shaffer M&M`s youngest member `64 falcon futura soon will be and in the process of being a 5.0 powered falcon `51 willys jeep `73 plymouth duster 318 5.33 suregrip

Best thing to do is probably cc them yourself, especially if you aren't sure about thier history and they are off the car anyway. ------------------ -Charlie Ping 1970 Maverick Grabber [email protected] with AC and overdrive. http://www.maverickgrabber.com

The D8OE must be one of the crappiest SB Ford heads going! In addition to badly congested exhaust ports due to the Thermactor bosses, they also have the largest combustion Chamber volume of any 302 head, rated at 69 cc`s. On my 78 Fairmont, these were the original heads, factory flat top pistons & these heads was rated at a whopping 8.4.1 compression. This head was used on all the 302 engines from 78 to 84, including the 5.0 Mustang, and although my 85 Mustang 5.0 has a different casting number (E5), it is the same head other that factory clearancing to allow the new for 85 hydraulic roller lifters to be replaced without removing the heads. By comparrison, the E7 heads used on the 87& newer 5.0 Mustang had 64cc chambers, plus much cleaner exh. ports. ------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA Stocker 302 5speed. 13.04@101mph 59 Meteor (Canadian Ford) 2 dr sedan 332, auto 74 F350 ramp truck 390 4spd

Better find a new authority for your head info. Taking the lumps out of the exhaust ports does zip for compression. It is determined by deck, piston and combustion chamber size not lumps in the exhaust port

i know how compression is determined i took the humps out of the ports to have better flow i think i will have moe compression because of the new pistons
