For a '90 5.0 engine, I need to know:
-rod bearing clearance
-main bearing clearance
-crankshaft endplay
-piston ring gaps (TRW .040 forged pistons, E251K moly rings, N/A engine)
-balancer bolt torque

I am using mostly ARP bolts, so I looked up their torque specs, do you agree? These are the specs using their lube:
-Rod bolts: 28 ft/lbs
-Main bolts: 58 ft/lbs
-Flexplate bolts: 62 ft/lbs
-Cam bolt: 36 ft/lbs
-Balancer bolt: 189 ft/lbs (seems a little high to me, which is why I asked)
-Head studs: 56 ft/lbs (seems low to me)
-Intake bolts: 21 ft-lbs

Engine will have E7TE heads, TRW .040 forged F/T pistons, Victor Jr intake, hyd. roller cam, stock crank/rods, Professional Products street balancer, Scat flexplate (all 50oz). Need any more info?

Rods .002-.0025
Mains .0025-.003
Thrust .005-.007
Ring gaps .018-.020

189 ft.lbs does sound very high for the balancer bolt; 125 with a dab of blue loctite is more than plenty.

What type/brand head gaskets? A few extra ft.lbs wouldn't hurt

> For a '90 5.0 engine, I need to know:

Specs from my '87 factory manual for a 5.0L HO are listed below.
Understand these are Ford's recommendations for a stock engine
and other values may apply for a modified engine.

> rod bearing clearance

connecting rod bearings clearance to crankshaft:
desired 0.0008" - 0.0015"
allowable 0.0008" - 0.0024"

> main bearing clearance

main bearings clearance to crankshaft:
desired 0.0004"-0.0015"
allowable 0.0004"-0.0021"

> crankshaft endplay

crankshaft free end play: 0.004"-0.008"
service limit 0.012"

> piston ring gaps

0.010"-0.020". The usual recommendation is 0.004" per inch of bore
which is 0.016" for your case. File-fit moly ring sets are available
in 0.005" oversize. However, most rebuilder rings will be larger gap
than this. Alex told me not to worry with 0.020" end gaps when I was
putting my 5.0L HO back together.

> balancer bolt torque

damper to crankshaft bolt - 70-90 lb-ft (95-122 N-M)

> Main bolts: 58 ft/lbs
> Flexplate bolts: 62 ft/lbs
> Cam bolt: 36 ft/lbs

Those are on the low side for the factory bolts (manual says
60-70 ft-lbs for main bearing cap bolt, 75-85 for flywheel to
crankshaft bolt, 40-45 for camshaft sprocket gear to camshaft
bolt). Perhaps the difference is due to dry versus lubricated
threads?

Paranoia is an engine builders best friend.
