What carb spacer should I run with a 600 Holley and a stealth intake manifold?I am also using the stock E7 heads with 1.6 roller rockers and headers (Im not sure if this makes a difference or not). ------------------ Joe Fields 68 Fastback 289ci bored .030 over C-4 "Never fry bacon in the nude.

I'd try a 1" four hole spacer. Thats what worked the best on my car.------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. My Pics

I'd use the tapered 4-hole style, like Wilson Manifold makes. Several companies make them now....

Wilson if you can afford it. If not, just use the cheapest one inch 4 hole you can get.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,& '04 First SS/MA in the TENS! Is there really a reasonable gain in throttle response and HP from the wilson over the regular pheunolic 4 hole spacers?

Is there really a reasonable gain in throttle response and HP using a spacer verses mounting the carb directly to the intake? more bottom end?? more throttle response?? also the holes in mine seem to be tapered a bit. would the big end go up or the small end? thanks------------------ mike r racing is real everything else is just a game. 81 capri-7.47 @90mph 1/8 1.54 60 ft. http://www.angelfire.com/ny5/billswebsite/pg06.html [This message has been edited by capri man (edited 02-05-2004).]

We have a carb builder here in town. He builds carbs, and test flows them with different manifolds and spacers for some big name racers and many roundie round racers too. He told me that Wilson was by far the best! But if you don't have the money go with Wilson get any 1" four hole spacer just make sure it's a pheunolic so to reduce heat to the carb. Sounds just like the advice I have read given on here many times. ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. I was wondering if there was a reason that Wilson spacers are made of alley rather then a composite like Phenolic Resin, as alley is a very good conductor of heat!
