After getting rained out three times this year I finally hit it right and got some runs in at Saturday's Test 'n Tune at Sacramento Raceway. Last year I finished with a best of 13.3 at 103. After timing it, putting in 4.11s and putting on a 750 DP I ran a best of 12.5 at 109. That was the first run of the day when temps were in the mid 40s. It was pulling 12.61s at 107-108 at days end when it warmed up to high 50s. Looks like I'll be able to run the Good Guys circuit this year (have to be better than 12.99).

Running pretty consistent 1.79s at 60. I'm guessing that's about right and teh ET Streets aren't slipping much. Suspension is stock with Shelby under-ride bars to control spring wrap up.

Nice times, great improvement. What engine and combination are you running? Automatic or manual trans? I am jealous of you 60 foot time, I always seem to be in the 1.9-2.1 range.------------------ '69 Mustang Fastback, 351C, Holley 950 HP, New Parker Funnelweb intake, ported 4-v quench heads, 10.75:1, UD pulley, windage tray, Top Loader, 4.30 gears 9" rear ------------------------- 12.51 1/4 mile @ 115.89 60 foot time 2.008 (ouch)

It's a C6 manual reverse body trans running a 3k stall converter behind a relativbely mild 351C. It looks like you have a bit more motor than I do. Looks like it's time for you to get CalTracs and some better slicks.

That's VERY GOOD on ET Streets....what size are they & on what size rim?

your times will dramatically improve with your 60's. the 1.79 short times are not even close to taxing the limits of an et street. i think you got an easy 12.3 capability with your setup in launch improvements alone. good luck. 69 fastback definitely a good looking ride. ------------------ 306, 4speed, 4.11's....best 1/8 mile 7.58 at 92mph with 1.72 60ft. Steve, thanks for the props. Chip, these times are leaving on the last light from idle. Now that the butterflies are less active, I may try leaving off the converter this Saturday to see what it'll do...

Chip, I agree, and I've seen his car. It's show quality and very well put together. Not "low budget" like my daughter's '66. BTW Scott it should be 60'ing in the 1.50/160s when you get everything to "click" with CalTracs and a loose front end. Good luck with it and hope to see you clicking off low 12s soon. SteveW

Scott, What does your car w/driver weigh? I'd guess around 3250#... Are you saying that your front-to-back chassis/suspension is stone-stock (OEM) other than the Shelby under-ride traction bars and the ET Streets???!! If that's all you've done, then I'd say those are amazing 60' times! Ryan

Yep, it's bone stock. It's the suspension system package from Mustangs Plus. When I bought it I was building a street car. Plans have changed a bit since then. If the tires aren't spinning now, how will the CalTracs and a looser front end cut my 60s???
