Hello All,I was browsing through the new Mustangs Plus catalog and noticed the company that once majorly marketed TCP is no longer even carrying their products?!? So I decided to check their website to see if they were still in business with their overpriced products. Check out their new traction bar/control device. http://www.totalcontrolproducts.com/torquearm.html I'm curious to hear what you pros think about this "center" based traction bar. I wonder how it performs? Thanks in advance. Erik ------------------ 1966 Ford Mustang 2+2 Mine - Restomod in Progress 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe Dad's - Original Unrestored

Well, from the looks of the illustrations, it would appear to me that lateral control would be dubious. An awful lot of demand would be placed on the shocks and I personoally feel that not enough users would spend the money on the right ones. I'd never install that system on a leaf spring car. That's just my oppinion. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,& '04 First SS/MA in the TENS! Looks ok for a road racer, SCCA type application preferably with coil rear springs. '80s Camaros/Firebirds came stock with torque arms. They don't plant the tires hard like a CalTrac but they do keep the pinion angle correct under acceleration and braking. It also looks expensive. I'm with Alex, the shocks would have to prevent the axle from torquing left-right. Save your money. SteveW
