The teacher of my machining class told us to start thinking about projects to make when we get the mandatory projects done, and I was thinking I could make a stud girdle for my 302, but I do not know exactly how they work. Do they use special polylocks or something so that they don't hit the rockers? Does someone have a picture of one of these installed on a motor, preferably a sbf that they could post. I think I could easily make one with Tek-soft and the cnc machine. Draw it up, and machine it out. I have a head at home that I could take my measurements from, but I need to know exactly how they mount and stay there. Thanks for any help, Brandon.

P.S. When I finally get my engraving done, on my aircleaner I will have steve post a pic for you guys to see. Could be this spring before the final run is done on the air cleaner though, until then it's top secret!

They use an extra long poly lock or if it's a Chevoso cheapie, a really stupid screw driver slotted nut.
