I ground down the the bumps in the exhaust ports in stock 5.0L HO heads. Each port now has a small hole in the roof that leads to the thermactor port. I've plugged the thermactor holes at the back of each head and sealed the threads with black Permatex. I assume that's all I need to do. There's only exhaust in that passage, not coolant, correct?Dan Jones

I don't know if it is worth the effort, but some people tap those holes, run bolts in them, and grind the heads off the bolts so it is smooth.------------------ 68 GT FASTBACK www.imboc.com/phpBB/Uploads/1020432917.jpg 01 GT BULLITT www.imboc.com/phpBB/Uploads/1020440453.jpg 96 OJ BRONCO
