Well,I've got the ball rolling on my 306ci carbureted turbo project, but I'm having very little luck finding somebody with experience (or who is willing) to build a carb for this type of application.Anybody got a suggestion?I sent an email to Bigs, but have not heard back from them yet. Thanks in advance Scott------------------ DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

I've done a few. All on SC applications. All worked flawlessly. Alex, would you be willing to take a crack at another one in the next couple of months? Also, would you want to start with my core,or do you prefer to start with a new carb?I've got a 600cfm Holley dp right now, which all of the blowthru "experts" seem to think is just right, but I can't get past thinking a 750 would be far better for a motor trying to make relatively big #'s for it's size.Am I correct? Thanks,Alex. I'll only start with a brand new core. You supply it or I will. 600 CFM was barely enough for my Paxton 289 stuff. I had best success with highly modified (by me) 4118 725 CFM Holley's. This was before 4 corner idle circuit carbs were available. 700 or 750 DP is what I would choose.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,&'03 First SS/MA in the TENS! That's the trouble......do you take a leap of faith and frag a shiny new motor because some guy on the net says his 'killer super-secret race-tune' will make your car run 9's?Probably not......I think I'm gonna see if Alex will build one for me.------------------ DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

FWIW, I always thought the Holley 4010 series double pumpers would make a good blow-thru carb. The bowl is one piece, so there is no chance of fuel leaking from the throttle shafts, and it has the same features of the 4150 series, too. Just something to think about.

I agree. I wish I had about 30-40 of them.

That carb is basically a rip off of an Autolite 4100 right?Would I be better off to modify the 1.12 4100 I already have,or should we not even go there.......?

I wonder if Holley will sell the tooling for the 4010 series carbs? Everyone I know that ever tried on like it. Those carbs defiantely would be a much better "street" carb than the old AFB clones. Maybe when Edelbrock ends up with Holley, they will re-introduce them

The problem with the 4100 is that they are vacuum secondary carbs, although as I recall Alex does a mech. secondary conversion for those.
