My sig has most of my engine specs...I was looking into getting better heads, cam, and a stall converter to match. The only things I want to change are the heads, cam and stall...I want to keep my current gears, headers, intake, and carb. I want the parts to match, because I've heard over and over how that is so important. I'd also like to keep the price low, no set budget, but as far under $1500 as possible would be good. So what heads, cam, and stall do you suggest I get that match each other as well as the parts I currently have. Also, around how much hp will I have?

My opinion which is from reading posts and talking to these for a few years now. I'd go with the RPM heads, 270 cam, and a 3000 stall. As for the HP rating who cares about the numbers. Thats all alittle out of your $1500 budget. ------------------ SCOOP"It is the fight itself that keeps you young" 2.26 60'S 14.9 @ 90.86MPH 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. trick flows are about the best of the cheap aluminum heads. you will have to research your cam by calling the head manufacturer you buy from and the cam company also. im not a big fan of edelbrock heads in anything less than a set of victor jr.'s. an afr 165 would be the best out of the box but you cant afford them. ------------------ 306, 4speed, 4.11's....best 1/8 mile 7.58 at 92mph with 1.72 60ft. Pick up a set of those ProToplines that were listed in another post! They seem like really nice heads, and the price sure is right!------------------ Mike Burch 66 mustang real street 302 4-speed 289 heads 10.63 @ 129.3 http://www.geocities.com/carbedstangs/cmml_mburch.html http://www.fortunecity.com/silverstone/healey/367 http://www.mustangworks.com/cgi-bin/moi-display.cgi?220

The smallest Pro-Topline head is 180cc. Wouldn't that be too big for a mild to moderate 289? I would go with the AFR 165 heads, although they are not the cheapest.
