We are looking to replace the old GT-40 heads on the 351w, and was looking at the Roush 200's. I really dont know which way to go though, iron or aluminum. Of course the Falcon is drag race only and weighs 2450, so saving weight is not really important. We already have to add 200 pounds to be IHRA legal or 400 to be NHRA legal. What heads do you all like and why. I would also like some recommendations on heads for our set up. Here it is: 351w, .030 over with KB 136 dome pistons, reconditioned truck rods, stock crank, main studs, approx. 11:1 comp., Comp. Soild cam, .576 int. and .592 exh. lift, 250 and 260 dur. at .050, and 106* LSA. Victor Jr, 830 cfm DP, C-4 with brake, 9 in. with 5.29 gears and 31x13 M/T. Thanks for your help once again. Steve Strain

I would go with aluminum heads. It's better to have to add weight, and to be able to add it where you need it to make your car scale out easier (front to rear weight, and corner to corner percantages.)If you are looking to buy heads right now, I may know where you can get a set of CNC ported Brodix heads complete for $1400 (if they haven't sold already.) They have good parts in them, and dyno time only. But he wants to sell them "NOW".

I was also checking them out, but was curious about the BIG (to me)2.05 intake valve. Wouldn't that hurt us? I dont know thats why I am asking. I always knew bigger was not necessacarily better. Please help. We have 1.84 and 1.54 valves now, and I have always felt we needed more valve.

Would you recommend them over the Roush heads we were talking to Roeder about? We could still use our springs, studs, retainers, ect, correct?

Teh TFS R heads seem to be great but not many people use them. These heads require a special header flange which makes them more expensive to use than other heads.

Hey Chips: we are going to be selling the GT-40's, are you interested? Im looking to get $400 obo out of them. If you want more details, let me know. Does any one know anything about the SBF alum. heads in Jegs? Part number is: 555-51490. They are not the Jegs/Kasse heads, which are part #555-51500. Just curious, thet look like good heads. Thanks again, Steve.
