the easiest speed is to lose weight somewhere. if you can find 100 lbs, it should be worth somewhere close to 1/10.
how about getting an extra set of wheels and mount some real slicks on them just for the track? i personally dont think the header swap will help enough to notice. just my opinion, i could be wrong.
good luck

Your car has 60 foot issues.
The 105 MPH trap speed is indicative of mid 12 second ET's so you have the power.
Most good leaving efficiant cars that run in the 12.50 to 12.60 range run 104-105 MPH.
Work on the traction or off line acceleration to pick up your ET's.
You need to apply the power you have.

Ronnie,

I noticed you run drag radials and slapper bars. Does it spin off the line?

Take battery from under hood & install in trunk over right rear tire. Taking weight off front & install it in rear where it will help tracion the most. Makes for better weight transfer. Also connect front & rear frames

Work on getting power to the ground first, then work on making more power.

Ronnie,

Yeah you're spinning after it initially hooks. You need to get the front end up and keep it up for the first 100' at least to keep the tires planted. Also drag radials need to heated up pretty good. You have a line lock? Run 90-10 front shock and loose the sway bar for starters.

I think changing the differential ratio is the best modify for lowering E.T.

He's running a spooled 4.10 gear, so that's ok.

BULLSH*T!

Don't believe everything you read. Especially in "Hot Rod" magazines.

He's having trouble with traction now! More gear will only make it worse and it is still a street car. S.L.R. is important, too much is not a good thing.
All he needs is more traction, then he'll probably develop a bog, then we'll get it to power through the bog and he'll be off and running.

just would like to comment on the open headers/x-pipe debate. my car picked up a solid 2 tenths going from a Perfect exausted setup...and i do mean perfect...to open headers and 18 inch collector extentions. now thats .2 in the 1/8...not 1/4. my combo is pump gas and n/a. i have yet to see a car that runs better muffled, if it does something else is probably wrong. also, hot rod magazine is 99 percent b.s. %100 of the time. last i heard they've got the wrx beating the 03 cobra by a tenth in some article. at least thats what im told.
