I'm prolly not a good responder to this question.....but I'm gonna put my two cents in anyway.........I'm using a 72' Pinto Rack in my 69' Mustang Coupe.........now granted.....mine is a tube chassied race car, with strut front suspension.......
A mid 70's Mustang 2 rack shouldn't be too hard to make fit....just make REAL sure all the geometry is correct or you are gonna have BIG problems with bump steer and other unwanted problems........if you don't feel confident in attempting the project....find somebody who can.......the handleing will be MUCH improved!!!

The Mustang 2 rack does NOT work with stock front suspension. A rack itself is not a complete suspension changeover, i see lots of people confusing the terms.

To adapt a rack to the original front end properly it needs to be a rear steer type that sits behind the spindles. Many front wheel drive cars like Escorts and Neons have those. The bigger problem is finding one with the pivots narrow enough to avoid bump steer.
