http://www.uniqueperformance.com/drivetrain.aspx Maybe I'm just not accustomed to shelby parts, but a 427 with a supercharger doesn't seem like it should run up to 34,000. But anyway, it does have some neat stuff there.

Bill I'd be interested in seeing some info about your car, 'cause with the questions you've been asking. It sounds like you should have a real beast.

The Shelby GT500E with the Super Snake option has that supercharged 427 with a NOS kit, and it has 750 horses before the NOS shot. and its all aluminum to boot. So yeah I can see them wanting 34 grand for it. plus you get the Shelby name. Its also a Shelby designed block and its a limited run, so there wont be many of them.Jegs wants 12 grand for a 426 Hemi that puts out less hp then the 5 grand 460.

That is ridiculously overpriced...it should come with a roll of Shelby monogrammed $100 bills for that. Keith Craft sells a tricker engine for half that.

The $300 smallblock valve covers are nuts too... an additional $200 over what those cost from any other source for that bit of engraving?

I saw a Superformance Daytona Coupe this morning. It was defenitely cool, but they start at $63k This one had a 402ci Roush motor, LOTS of carbon fiber, lots of leather, $10k+ paint job... strongly resembled the Ferrari F40 parked just across the way in 'exotic' status. It fact, it drew a much larger crowd than the Italian car Cool, yes. Pricey... Super snake option is around 159k for the whole ball of wax. Many shops out there that can build you the same or better for around 75k
