If your buying all Brand new parts I would run the 408 but I bought the 393w but I am still collecting parts to put my motor together. My 393 uses the 28 oz balancer and the 408 uses the 50oz balancer.Bruce

Strokers can be neutral balanced (the best), 28oz imbalanced, or the worst 50 oz imbalanced. If the kit is for 50 oz imbalance it will cost a lot (hundreds) for the heavy metal to balance it to 28 oz.

Shop for a kit that includes balancing to 28 oz specs! You'll be better off.

My 408W is 28 oz balanced.
