I have a question for you roller cam guys....
Crane lists the same hyd and solid roller lifter part numbers for the 351C and 289-351W.
Comp lists different parts for the 351C and windsor families.
So are "W" and "C" roller lifters interchangable? Or does the comp lifters feature different oil groove heights, while Crane use different base circles to utilize the same lifters?

they can make a mistake maybe.but 289-302 and 351w cams are interchangable by changing the firing order.

Yes, and no. I went thru the same thing with the morons who answer the phone at Comp. I finally got a straight answer when I asked someone important at the PRI show a couple of years ago. They place the oiling hole in a different spot on the W lifters than on the C lifters. If you run Comp W roller lifters in a C block, it will fill the valve covers with oil. It has something to do with where the oil feed runs on the two motor styles.

Most other companies put the oil feed in a place where it doesnt matter which block they get stuck in. One thing I dont like about Comp lifters is you cant run anything bigger than 5/16 pushrods with them. The Lunati's I have you can. Plus, they work in all the SBF motors.
