Doing that cam swap produced such killer results, I've got the horsepower bug real bad now For those who don't know my deal: 333ci Windsor, Trick Flow heads, Comp 282S , 750dp, SuperComp headers, MSD, 4 speed, 3.70 gears in a '65 GT coupe. My question is this: Just how 'bad' is a large plenum single plane on the street? Right now I'm running an RPM Air Gap. The bigger 'stick softened the low rpm torque a bit, but it's still real crisp. ------------------ 1965 GT coupe, 333ci aluminum headed/solid cammed stroker, four speed, 3.70:1 9" All Blue Oval, no blue bottle http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/V8Thumper.html

I'm running one on my 393 stroker and like it. You won't see much difference in streetability over the Air-gap. I had to do some re-tuning to help it idle and drop the main jets a couple of sizes.

"5.ooooh" magazine tested the Vic Jr s. the air gap on a 393 stroker. The victor Jr made about 7 more hp, but less torque over the whole power band I think. While the Vic Jr is a good intake, I don't think you will see or "feel" much gains if you swap intakes. Swapping between two "good" intakes rarely makes much difference.

Sounds like you need to leave the hood closed and back away. You can beat this bug!! Here's my advice. Improve any weak links you may have on the car to improve traction and durability and then go to the track and try to hook up a solid baseline on what you already have. You'll probably find out that have more power than the chassis can handle already! ------------------ 1966 Mustang Coupe: Custom glass hood and BIG scoop sits atop a 289 stroked to 331 c.i., Steel crank, rods and girdle, TFS alum. heads, Stealth 8020 intake, Xtreme 268 Solid Roller, Holley 750 HP, long tubes, 4speed, 9" 3.50 posi. 11.86 @ 116 mph (7.62 @ 93 mph)daily driver! hi, ? use victor jr intake on 351w.it is good at upper rpms.power starts to climb after 3500rpm. and you must have enough hood clearance because victor jr is taller than others...
