I'm looking at buying a 5 pt harness for my younger brother as a Christmas present. It's for his 66 Mustang coupe. I built him a new engine a little while back and it's pretty stout compared to what it was. The little 302 used to run 9.60's in the 1/8 mile with headers and a 600 Holley. Now it's got RPM aluminum heads w/roller rockers, Comp 282S cam, RPM intake, forged flat tops and the same headers and carb. Trans is a C-4 with a full manual vb and a 10" 3500 PTC converter. Added a set of 3.80 gears vs 2.79 stock. It now runs 7.60-7.70's. The 600 cfm carb is holding it back some. So, it's time for some safety equipment. First is a 5 pt harness. Does anyone have any pics of a 5 pt in a 66 with the *stock* seats? How are the belts mounted? Do I need a Y type or H type? Any other info is helpful. Thanks David Cole

Dave,Before Melissa's '66 had a roll bar we used a Y harness bolted thru the floor behind the seat using 2" fender washers. The submarine belt will have to bolt thru the floor a couple inches behind the front of the seat. SteveW
