I was going to upgrade to a bigger sway bar on my '67. I was thinking that since I'm replacing it, I should just go ahead and get the big one (1-1/8"). What are the pros and cons of a bigger sway bar? What diameter should I get?

pro - your car should corner better
con - it will transfer weight worse

The thicker sway bars give a larger cross sectional area (that's what is more important than the diameter increase) a bar with 2 times the width is 4 times as strong (as far as what i've been told)

the bigger the sway bar the flatter the car will corner, good if you want a street car or car for road course stuff, but not so good for straight line(dragging)
