I am going to take my SSM lift bars off tonight and put my slapper bars back on. Hoping that will help with my traction issues i have been having. I hear a lot of talk about pinion angle I was wondering what mine should be, and how do you measure it it seems differnt people measure it differnt was. Also not to be dumb but exactly how do you adjust it? Also how far should the snubbers be from the springs.

Steve I noticed in an old post that you set the angle at 6 degrees in the 66 and it seemed to help. Did you just use shims between the axle and springs to accomplish that much angle, did you have to stack shims.

Jerry,

I used one steel shim and tack welded it to the axle's spring perch.

BTW, that's not that much angle for a leaf sprung car.
