Since I am pretty new to the Mustang scene please excuse me if this is a stupid question. I am building a 89 to run in the NHRA stock class and I need to know is there a better made rocker arm than the stock one. I cannot go to rollers since the car did not come with them

Thanks

Speed Pro R-879 is what we use Dave.
That is the best and strongest "legal" aftermarket available at this time.
We have turned a bunch of stock eliminator guys on to them.
We stock them.
They are closer to 1.6 than the OE Ford stuff.
Still no bonus as the closest we can come is about 1.54.
Factory ones aren't even 1.50! Most are 1.44 to 1.46.

We have been and are working very closely with Crane Cams on a "true" 1.6 legal hardened steel bolt on 5.0 rocker arm.
It still looks to be a few months away though.

Thanks for the quick reply, how much? Are you making up the rest of the lift in the cam?

Rocker kits are $9.00 each. 16 are needed and a couple of spares wouldn't hurt.
We are so safe on lift that it hurts .404 and .424 at the rocker.
You can make it up with the cam and or push rod length Dave.

I may have been cooking lunch Dave.
Rockers make great stocking stuffers.
