Almost all of them are better than GER.We all know JPT stuff works real well based on how MoneyMaker and Steve66 runs. I run a Coan and it works fantastic, and the Dynamic that is in KK's car is pretty danged good too. Those 3 top my list, with it being Coan, Dynamic, then JPT. The only reason I list JPT last is because I have never personally dealt with them, but I have ran convertors from the other two. I feel you cant go wrong with any of those.

I agree with Kids choices, but I put JPT higher on the list. Jim is a real personable guy. I had a long talk with him the other day. For a guy as busy as he is, he sure doesn't mind taking time out to talk with customers. ------------------ Ben Grabber Green '70 Mach I 351C 4V Robbin Egg Blue '79 Fairmont 351C 4V

I use a Yank converter and all I can say is I've had it for 5 or 6 years and had it rebuild once. Before I got it, the converter was 4 or 6 years old. So, I guess I could say it's ok.btw, does anyone else here use a Yank converter?

I've never had anything but first class treatment from the guys at Coan. I called them 2 times whne I ordered my convertor. I sent it back 3 years later to be freshened up and I talked to the same guy. 2 years afer that, I met that salesman (Craig) at the PRI show in Indy. He not only remembered me when I introduced who I was, but he remembered what I was racing, and where I raced weekly. That's definately not what I would call typical.

I"m running an ATI for the past couple of years and it works great....on the street and at the track on a 250 shot. When I called JPT to buy a t-brake they told me that ATI makes great stuff!! The one constant that i've noticed among the "good" converter makers is that they are expensive!! I paid $800 for my ATI and it was on sale, regularly like $1100.....

Dont know about the price practicality for you but you asked for the best. The best is Neal Chance Converters, bar none! Best converters in drag racing. Going from a GER to a Neal Chance piece would be like going from a Chevette to a Ferrari F40. LOL I've had great luck with Coan also. A buddy of mine just got done running(ran it for this entire season) a converter from Trans King and said its the best one he's run. He's run a lot. I know nothing about them but will research them when in the market again. Good luck, Gordon
