Well the motor in the car hope to get down this weekend?? it about the same 393 cleveland. 4 bolt block 0 deck fill with block fill, crankshaft repair,new eagle 6 rods , new pistons srp 30 over, new cam lunati and springs about same size camshaft but i got a new stall conv. 4400 to 5000 hope it works hope and pray the motor make it.jim1320

just a question, what's the advantage to using block fill?? strenthen the block somehow?

Clevelands have thin cylinder walls and are prone to cracking. By filling the block it stiffens them to keep them doing that. Plus, it keeps the cylinder rounder when it gets hot which promotes better ring seal. But the main reason for filling on a cleveland is to keep the cylinders from cracking.
