Okay, What is the major difference between the Negative wedge kits for the 65/66 and the 67-73 mustangs? I stumbled onto this while google-ing for something else... will it work on my 65? Was planning on doing the Shelby 1" drop, if this will work on my 65 I'll go the 1 3/4" drop and get a pair of these made by my friendly machinist.... http://www.trinitysmustangs.com/prints_of_custom_adaptors1.htm http://www.trinitysmustangs.com/images/rickdwg.gif

that was from me, you have to find angled washers, or make them like i did or the wedge wont work as in the drgas kit

well you can, but it will be very dangerous...the bolts will bend bind and break, the angle of the make your own wedge kit either requires an angled washer so the bolt wont bend or a real machinist to make a flat spot for the bolt(or nut depending on which way u put the bolt through) to rest flat on the angled wedge. as you tighten it down picture what would happen. you cant trust bent ball joint bolts, you could possibly loose a wheel. but heres what i think is best to do..drill the threads out of the nuts, then grind them to match the required angle. those will act as washers/spacers. if done correctly they will correct the angle and prevent bolt bind. or find some kind of specialty spacer or washer that is angeled, which i had zero luck with! e mail me for pics [email protected]btw that wasnt my site, just my file!

If you have a machine shop make the wedges just tell them you need washers with the same angle, the should be able to do it all in one set up. I would ask a price first before just deciding to let them fabricate them, you may find that it will be cheaper the just bu the kit.------------------ Ronnie 69 mach1 351W-4V engineless at the time! 70 Torino GT 351C-4v with a "shaker" Mustangs and More Member #23

I get a fair bit of stuff made by this guy, and wen you factor in shipping the kit to Australia, and import duties, it winds up a good bit more than what getting them made will cost me... so finding that drawing (Thanks 66Fairlaine500! Always great when people put this sort of stuff into the public domain!)Ben
