id like to know how many parts are interchangable between the cleveland and the M block? will the internal components from the cleveland fit in the M?

Don't hold me to this, but there isn't a lot between the 2 of them that is interchange-able. The heads will, as will the valvetrain components, and the distributor. But other than that, not much. The 'M' is based on the 400 block which is taller than the cleveland, and not on a cleveland block. Therefore the rotating assembly is different, by quite a bit. The rods/piston combo is too long, and it requires machine work to make the crank fit. They might be from the same family, but not much interchanges.

The M also uses a big block bell housing.

Heyyy, so if Cleveland & M can interchange, What if I put the M heads on my 302, could be like a Boss302? Or do the M heads suck? I know at the farm we have a F100 with a 351M & unfortunately that truck is gutless, (runs good though &, has over 500.000 with not a single problem proud to say )------------------ http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/MembersPics/Kellxr7.html
