Finally!!!! took the fairlane out for a cruise saturday evening and it runs great.Decided to see if it turns on any better..holy s&%#!! Hit it from a dead stop and instantly hit the rev limiter(never did that before)7000 grand chip Woops..lifetd a touch and boiled the tires about 400 feet when the tires hooked it fell to 6200 and pulled right up to 6500 and shifted second,by the time i pulled it back to 6500 i was running out of street and got out of it.My brother was in the car with me and he has been it before.All he said was WOW what a difference he couldn't believe how HARD it pulled over 6000 and it never did before.Well sunday we will see if the ET's pick up (fingers crossed)

glad to hear that. just got mine put together couple months ago and if you can feel the difference in the seat of your pants you certainly are looking at better et's. theres a local guy with a 69 like yours with a 347 and it pulls pretty strong too. it kinda looks like a david blain (blane?) trick when you see that tiny motor then watch it haul. 351w is my other favorite, good luck and let us know some new times.------------------

Dennis thats great you should be able to get it into the high 11's.
So what all have you done to it.Can you tell me what you've done to your heads.------------------

Scoop,all we did was open the exaust ports up and pocket port.We changed the springs for the cam with titanium retainers.The cam change seems to be the biggest step up and the carb still ain't right.I have a stumble in the transition to the secondaries.We changed everything and it won't go away so i am going to pull the spacer and see if it is doing it.let ya know what happens
