My 308 runs good when it is idling ,and when I step on the gas it run good all the way to 6500 rpm . But when I`m cruising, you cant feel any sort of miss ,but you can hear what sounds like its dropping a cylinder. This is hard to explain in writing, but you hear a slight "glug" fron the exhaust every few seconds. I have a Mallory Unilite dist. which I`ve recently installed, but it did the same thing its doing now with the old dual point it had. It also has new Accel 300 plus wires on it,and the plugs look good.I have the Unilite locked out at 38 deg. and have tryed it from 35 to 40 since its been in there to see what it liked best. The miss was there the whole time I was wondering if you guys had any ideas about what the problem could be? Thanks in advance.

any sort of ignition system upgrades or changes other than dist?? plug wires?? what is your cruise rpm? plug wires routed correctly to prevent a cross-fire

My car doing something like this. But I could feel the and see the miss in the tach.Mine was a burnt plug boot.
Check all the wires and boots. Check for vacuum leaks. How about the PV have you had any back fire from the carb lately.

Thanks for the input guys, I have another set of new plug wires that I will try on the car to see if that fixes it. I `ll let you know. Cruise RPM is about 3,100 Dubs.
