How do you know when to have the converter rebuilt. Do you wait for the rpm's to start getting higher or just do it every 2 years when the tranny is being rebuilt? Mines a Dynamic 8" 4500.
Thanks,
Brian

I used to have mine freshened every 2 years. But, the last time I sent it in, they said it looked like new inside and didn't really need anything. They replaced some bearings and bushings anyways (I guess, I don't know much about convertors.)

So now I have decided to only have it done every 4 years or so. And I think it's been that long since it was gone thru the last time, and it still works just like the day I put it in.

Myabe call Dynamic and ask them.

The reason most racers refresh their convertors is due to the cost of replacing them. A stock convertor is cheap compared to $600-$1000 for a 8 or 9 inch race convertor. A stock convertor can be replaced for less than the usual refreshing fee of $150-$175.
