Assuming that it's going to be on warm-to-hot street 351W60% street, 40% strip which would you choose and why? leaning towards the digital myself because eventually i was thinking of nitrous, but also then wouldn't have to deal with the pills to change everything (and yes i know you can get resistors to do the same things as the regular pills) would there be any power difference between the two? does the digital 6 have a cutoff switch like the 6al or a something for theft protection (shut it off, and the car will crank, but not start?) would i need to run a specail timing control deal to use the digital? ------------------ 1974 Gran Torino, 351W rpm air gap intake, Holley 670 carb, 1" 4 hole spacer My Page

Digital is also less sensitive to voltage drops during cranking.

they have one with vacuum adv or one with out that depends on if it sees alot of street driving or more racing than driving mine will see both so I got a killer price on a brand new one without the vac advance so that is what i got. Anyone else care to add their two cents as i have been the only one telling my side lets hear yours! Come on (begging here) Please oh pretty please..Bruce

in the 6 series installation guide it has about a theft deterrent kill switchbasically it says to short whatever pickup you are not using to ground, and it will crank but not fire (white and violet) could the same be done with the digital 6?? ------------------ 1974 Gran Torino, 351W rpm air gap intake, Holley 670 carb, 1" 4 hole spacer My Page

I have the digital 6 box on my Mach. It does have a theft deterrent switch. You just switch the cylinder dial to 8 or 9. Don't ask me how I found this out.Patrick

No, that can't be wired inside the car. I would just put a toggle switch in the wire that provides 12V to the dist. and the MSD box. This is the wire that originally provided power to the coil.
