While tuning my 2 holley 450`s (tunnel ram) I have been working on a slight lean condition that happens when accelorating from cruising speeds. The engine has a hesitation which it quickly recovers from. I have increased the squirter size all the way to #37`s and that has helped some, but now I want to try a different pump cam. The stock cams are red and are at the #1 setting. which cam (color) do you guys think I should try first? All responses are appreciated. ------------------ http://maverickgrabber.iwarp.com

Pink cams,Make sure they squirt at the slightest movement of the throttle. Also check your timing curve or lock it out, more initial timing will help. Good luck, SteveW

Thanks alot Steve, I was starting to think I would`nt get a response to my rather hard to nail down question I have installed a set of the light green cams and it helped quite a bit. I will now follow your advice and let everyone know how it works out. ------------------ http://maverickgrabber.iwarp.com

Mav,OK, but just keep in mind I'm guessing. Pink cams worked for me a couple years ago though. SteveW

As suggested by Holley in their tech section, you might want to get a pump cam assortment and lay them side by side and see what the difference is between each one and how it affects the way the pump shot is dispersed.http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/TechServ/TechInfo/TI-221.html
