I have been looking at some of the cold air induction kits. Most of them I have looked at seems to use an aluminum tube to route the air into the throttle body. This seems to me not to be the best material to use since it can heat up quickly and hold the heat in thus warming up the air charge. Is there a kit that uses a polycarbonate or simular material that would hold in ess heat? TIA Dave

I would like to install one on my Falcon wagon that I bracket race but I'm afraid it wont be as consistent as with a breather instead. I want to keep the flat hood so I guess the duct could be run by the radiator. Any suggestions?:[This message has been edited by FALCOMANIA (edited 09-04-2003).]

Most cold air kits will not produce any real power gain, and they are marketed heavily to the "bling bling" crowd. Just say no to bling.------------------ Jay Kilroy 68' Fastback GT 390 "No such thing as a cam thats too big"

Dave, I don't know of any polycarb or such ducting; but what about insulating the outside of the aluminum tube? I'm thinking if you did, it would keep the engine heat out/off of the tube and the cool incoming air would keep it cool....correct?
