My 3.55s should be coming in late this week or early next week, so I decided to go ahead and get everything neccessary for the swap. I went to autozone to get a new speedometer cable to make the speedo right with the change...I do need that right? Dude told me that I didn't know what I was talking about...said that whoever told me that was full of it. But it makes sense...the speedo cable still thinks I'm going 55 with 2.79s, but in reality, with 3.55s, the tires wheel be turning less, therefore a lower speed...What do I do? Mabye I'm not understanding all this right..?

You do not ned a new cable, you need a new driven gear that mounts on the end of the cable. Somewhere there is a caculator to figure what gear you need, but I cannot remember where it is at right now.

Found it, should have known it was in the tech articles on this site.
