What benefits or differences would I get by changing from a MSD6AL to MSD Digital-6 Plus? I do know the Digital 6 has the starter saver option. Sounds good. What if I want to run nitrous later? Is there a benefit there? Any other differences? I am running a Duraspark distributor. Thanks much Buck.

Buck, try asking the folks at MSd, they have a help forum on their web site. I run a 6AL but I don't know about the digital ignitions. Good luck and let us know what you find out. ------------------ JS 69 Mustang Pro ET Drag

I switched to the digital and am very pleased. I can dial in retard when on nitrous. It also has an option for 2-step rev limiter (haven't used this yet).

I run a MSD 7-AL2 box in my racecar, and a 6T box in my street car. No digital for me, and at this point, I never will. Here's my feelings on ignition boxes that come with a lot of built in features (stuff like 2 steps and start/retard control etc). If one thing fails, the whole thing is now junk. I would rather have parts that plug into it, that way say if my removable 2 step fails, I can replace it with another one without having to send the whole ignition box back to MSD to get it fixed. I don't feel the added expense is anywhere worth the minimal gain you may get from it, especially at the risk of losing the whole works if something fails.
