Great, my dad and I are starting the assembly process all over again, for the 3rd time tonight! Wish us luck! Well, apparently there isn't enough luck, or someone doesn't want me to have this motor, because one of my main bearings mysteriously got bent while it was sitting on the bench, so now I have to buy another set of main bearings for it. But the waiting is the hardest part! So my dad is polishing the chambers on my heads tonight. So far that is going good. He has almost got one head done already. ------------------ 1970 coupe restored with the help of my dad. 302 with 600 holley, aluminum intake, headers, pertonix ignitor 2 with matched coil, lakewood bellhousing, 4-speed toploader, and 2.79 open 8" rear. You did was out the block (especially the bores) with soap, water and a scotchbrite? Also remember to dump in a bottle of GM EOS (or similiar product) before starting the engine.
