I've decided to go with an all steel damper or steel/aluminum rather than a fluid damper. The only benefit of going with steel with an aluminum ring is rotating mass. Is it worth while or very minimal. I'm going to buy a Romac,as the quality is good and the price is well below ATI. Any experiences I should hear about? Thanks, Brian

I don't have any experience with Romac dampeners. However, if you could provide what engine family, CID, and the peak RPM you plan to spin it, it may prove to be helpful in receiving constructive general dampener advice.... Ryan

There's only one dampner designed for 7000 rpm and above, and it's an ATI. If you are spinning 7 grand now, the next engine will be spinning 7500, then the cheaper Romac balancer will become a liability.
