I am about to swop a 460 into a friend's '71 Mustang but need to know what engine mounts and frame brackets to use. Are all the frame brackets the same? Will the 460 rubber engine mounts work? I need to get this engine in the same place as the factory 429 setup would have been, so headers etc. fit right. This is a 351C car at present. TIA
Cheers, Martin.

I think you need to round up the factory '71 mustang 429 frame and motor mounts.

I have an article on Mustang engine swaps from some years back - lists the following part numbers - maybe that will help.

I have the article scanned and could Email it to you if you want.

Frame Bracket
(RH)D1ZZ 6028A(NR)
(LH)D1ZZ 6029A(NR)

Frame Reinforcement Bracket
(RH)D1ZZ 6030A (NR)
(LH)D1ZZ 6031A (NR)

Engine Mount (Insulator)
D1ZZ 6038A

(NR) = "parts not replaced" / "last good known part numbers"
