Isn't it interesting how our perspective's change over time?Look what I found. "Personally I do not like strokers. In my opinion, strokers belong in 4X4 trucks where the bottom end torque is an advantage. SteveW " ..Posted on 08-07-2001 10:10 PM How's Mel's "truck" runnin' nowadays?

Rob,Ouch! That hurt You must've been bored to dig that up. Yeah it is funny how our perspective changes. BTW I still beleive that if you aren't going to use good parts or big enough heads, that will let them live and make power at higher rpms. Funny what trying a good stroker can do. Speaking of changing, I see you've got a Windsor in your car now. SteveW

Umm...but...but....
It's not mine! Really! Actually, it's not mine, it's KK's motor and trans in my car. And after tomorrow, it will have my old 8" convertor in it. We decided the best way to get it to leave better is to put more convertor in it. 1.799 is the best 60' we could get out of it with the streetfighter. I re-set valve lash last week, they were all fairly loose, so I tightened back up to spec, and the car slowed down, but the mph picked up and the 60' times stayed right at 1.80. We decided then that it was time to try a different convertor. I did a search looking for something I never did find when I came across that little snip-it. And I just couldn't leave it alone.

I think you guys will like the converter change, but I might change my mind in a couple years. SteveW

Tell me about it. But it serves 2 purposes, it gets a motor back in my red car, and it gives KK something to race. I would love to put a cleveland back in it, but I just can't afford to do it right now.
