I am planning to put some 4.11s in my cougar & want to swap the old faithful C4 as well so I dont have to spin it over so high on the highway, I am wondering what type of Overdrive trans. to use? Which would rob the "least" power & be good for a street/strip tranny? I know my C4 would be better but I plan on doing alot of highway driving & cant afford the gas or another rebuild, I also cant afford a Gearvendors C4 Overdrive.

I guess the AOD-E is the best Ford AOD to use. But they are pricey. Go to Baumann Engineering, they have lots of info on AOD's.
