Who makes one, or what cars came with them that aren't part of the distribution block/proportioning valve? I need one for the "other" car for the 2 step "footbraking" out west. I also need brake lights Does anyone make an adjustable pressure switch?

Thanks for you help!

p.s. Got the cage in it today, boy that was fun. Right.....

If you mean the brake light switch check out how this guy adapted a '64 Falcon switch to work away from the master cylinder. Probably like $5 in parts . I ran across this page a while back and thought it may come in handy some day . Its at the bottom of the page.

Also '53-'66 F-100's used a pressure switch. It's still available.

That's ok I'll start with the stock one and see how it works. An adjustable would be good with the 2 step footbrake launch though.

Can't say that I've ever seen an adjustable brake light switch.

And what's this two step footbrake launch??

Tracey,

In division 7 NHRA two steps are not electronics. As long as they don't function "down track". So most people who run them have them controlled by the brake light circuit. The switch on the brake peddle isn't nearly as accurate as a pressure switch to release the two step when the brake pressure is released. An adjustable pressure switch would be even better. I can probably find one later at an industrial parts supplier. But for now the $7 stock one will work.
