With a c4,4500 stall converter,4.11 gear,1 5/8" hooker supercomps,29x10 hoosier slicks, caltracks w/multi leaf springs clamped on the rear only( road like a lumber wagon) ,the 750 dp w/a 6.5 pv(front),stock meatering block/rear,jetted up 5 or 6 front and rear, through flowmaster two chamber race muflers...11.41 at Cordova one night but it would not repeat. We took the clamps off the next day.But the for the most part 11.60 s to 11.70 s were the norm. The .60 s were all over the place and you can imagine what the rest of the timeslip looked like popeye

Shouldn't you have had the clamps on the front with the multi-leaf set-up ? Clamping the back doesn't make much sense, you only need a clamp to hold the leafs together on the back.

we didn't have much room for clamps because of the slicks...we might of had one added clamp on the front but they already had clamps on from the spring shop. They were new in 1997.It was recommend by someoneon on a racing forum so we thought we'd give it a try popeye ------------------ This is FORD COUNTRY, where on a quiet night, you can hear a chevy rusting

I guess what I'm trying to get at is they really didnt make much of a difference. I'm thinking about cal tracs as well but your numbers from before and after are not very convincing.
