I know this sounds repetative but....I am about to button up the bottom end and i want to absolutely make sure that running .002 or a tad more of main bearing clearence on my 351w is ok. I really dont want to have premature bearing wear or any other problems. If you guys can please give me your expert opinion on this issue. I dont want to dissassemble the bottom end, but if .002 is absolutely too tight i guess ill have to. This is a street/strip engine so it will see track time and high rpm. please give me your expert opinion thanks.

I've always run .0027" on 351W mains and have had great luck. However, I always use 20W50 oil too.
