I know this sounds repetative but....

I am about to button up the bottom end and i want to absolutely make sure that running .002 or a tad more of main bearing clearence on my 351w is ok. I really dont want to have premature bearing wear or any other problems. If you guys can please give me your expert opinion on this issue. I dont want to dissassemble the bottom end, but if .002 is absolutely too tight i guess ill have to. This is a street/strip engine so it will see track time and high rpm.

please give me your expert opinion thanks.

T/C,

That's OK, don't use thick oil though.

I've always run .0027" on 351W mains and have had great luck. However, I always use 20W50 oil too.
