It is time for me to get a rebuild in my 92 coupe. I have the Holley systamax II kit on the stock bottom end now. What all is envlovled with having the block preped for the stroker kit? This is my daily driver but it sees the track every weekend also. Im looking for something to put me well into the 300 rwhp range.

The bottoms of the bores must be notched for rod bolt clearance. Aside from boring & honing that's all that's required. 331's with good parts can safely and reliably rev to the moon

I asked the guys at coast high performance about stroking my 289. They sell both 331 and 347 engines and kits and they were happy to answer all my questions.

Im thinking of going to them when the time comes.

I am sure I will be going with the 347 kit. I found out today it will cost $600 for the block work.
