Anyone planning on going? It's August 29-31 at National Trailway Raceway. We (KK and myself) are kicking around the idea of going. But we are curious as if anyone else attends this.

I'm thinking about it. After we (KK and myself) discussed it a little, it doesn't look like KK will be able to go. But if there are going to be some folks I "know", I might consider going by myself. It doesn't look like a bad tow from here (less than 8 hours).Edit= If I go, the racecar will be along. I wont go without it. Thought I should clarify that a little. Looks great, I'd like to go. They might not let me race though. I read the part about license and NHRA rules applying. I don't have a go fast license yet. AND I still need to put in a window net. Other than that the car should pass tech. JS

I wont need one. Mine will probably run right around 10 flat, and it's legal for that. If it's a little too quick (which I doubt it will be this time), I have an adjustable throttle bracket I can close up the carb a bit to slow it down a little.

Yeah, I'm gonna try to go also, but I can only be there on Saturday. It's about a 3 hour drive for me. I'll probably run the Fairmont, too. ------------------ Ben Grabber Green '70 Mach I 351C 4V Robbin Egg Blue '79 Fairmont 351C 4V

I'm not sure if I will be going now or not. The track I am chasing points at originally had a non points race scheduled for that weekend. But since they have had so many rain outs, they changed it to a points race . I don't know what I'm going to do now. Good thing I have almost a month to decide.

Been going since the early 80's when the main event was still held at Ricart Ford, and I'll be there with my boys this year too. It's only an hour-and-a-half drive for us.......and worth every minute of it!! Don't know what other such events around the country are like, but this is wall to wall Fords covering the entire National Trail complex. Very cool. About three years ago as we walked through the ticket line, I asked my boys where they wanted to go first.....food court, swap meet, car show or the drags. About that time we heard "thunder" coming from the strip.... they both looked at me, pointed and said "THERE!". We no sooner got to the fence (just across from the lights) that lines the return lane when the "422 Club" started lining up vintage war horses for some exhibition passes. The first two or three slid past us uneventfully, but the next car (a Galaxy) was a different story. As he rolled past, he looked at us and grinned at my boys.... then he wrapped the throttle!! The oldest boy and I grinned from ear to ear, but youngest boy got weak in the knees and nearly fell to the ground. He still talks about that day. We always have a great time.Kevin ------------------ '73 Gran Torino Sportsroof
