Okay, had a look at a set of heads I have been told are "a bit special"... They're setup with 1.94/1.6 chev valves, screw in studs, and cast in pushrod guides(!) and have 64 and 4B13 cast in near the valvespring seats, with C4AE cast elsewhere... They'e got small chambers, valve guide inserts... ports have been cleaned up... Any Ideas on what these heads might be worth? Thanks Ben

Sounds like '64 hi-po heads that have been modified for larger chevy valves. They should have a fancy spring cup too. They came on K-code cars. The castings are not much different than other SBF heads of the era. Might be worth something to a collector or restorer.------------------ 1966 Mustang Coupe: Custom glass hood and BIG scoop sits atop a 289 stroked to 331 c.i., Steel crank and girdle, 5.4 H-beams, Forged slugs, TFS alum. heads, ported Stealth 8020 intake, Xtreme 274 Solid Roller, Holley 750 HP, long tubes, 4speed, 9" 3.50 posi. 11.86 @ 116 mph (7.62 @ 93 mph)full street trim! They can be regular 260/289 heads for that matter. Only the hi-pos have the cast in ridges around the valvesprings.Worth is another story... if they were Hi-po the mods don't help value, and with all the aftermarket heads out there sinking a ton of money into stock castings is not a good investment.
