I was just wondering how much hp a victor jr. is worth over a torker intake manifold. BTW I started the 68 last night and it sounds wicked with uncapped headers. I really wish there wasn't a muffler law. lol

There is no comparison between the two.
All torkers should be melted down into scrap to make RPM's or Vic Jr's out of. The Performer rpm is better all around than the torker and the Vic Jr is the next step up. In my humble opinion anyway.

Torker or Torker II? The Torker II is not a bad unit, but if you don't have one already don't pay for one. A Stealth is a better all around manifold than any Torker any day. It will make more low end AND more top end.

The Torker II for a 35W isn't bad, but the Torker II 302 is a total piece of CRAP! I had one, and gave it away years ago... the guy wanted to give me $50, but I felt guilty accepting money for it, so he got it for free!

That intake produced zero midrange.

The original Torker 289 isn't a bad piece, but an old Offenhouser Port-O-Sonic that has had it's plenum blended to the carb pad is a much better 'mini-me' version of a Victor Jr.

RPM, Airgap, Stealth... good.
Torker 289... fine
Torker II 302... would make a great boat anchor (if it was iron)

Good Luck!
