looking at some interesting articles on manifolds for the 392w, westech did a comparision between the airgap and performer on the 392, looks like the airgap put out more torque then my vic jr which i have now on the 408w, its took over @2800 to 2900 rpm's, my car is a street car with little strip, should i go back to the stealth which i still have or see how the vic jr feels on the 69, anybody have some thoughts on this, i just ordered a JPT 10'' converter which will to stall from 2800 to 4000, more if i mash the pedal he said, c-4 full manual, just wondering if i should stick to the dual plain for street driving. thanks

The Vic Jr took over at 2800 rpms right? Your new converter will stall higher than that right? Sooo, Who cares if the dual plane made more torque under your stall speed? Your combo won't be working under the stall speed anyway. Run the Vic Jr. SteveW

Try the Victor out, if you don't like it sell the puppy on Ebay. I assume from the converter RPM, that you are running a gear set in the 3.37 to 4.10 range? If this is the case then the Victor Jr is the way to go. If you want to do something cool, run the Victor Jr and the Stealth on the same chassis dyno and publish the results. Hell, if you wrote the results up well, with some good photos I am sure a magazine would pay you some amount for the article. ------------------ Jay Kilroy 68' Fastback GT 390 "No such thing as a cam thats too big"

thanks guys, by the way an article in hot rod this month has a bad ass 440 windsor fairlane that uses a rpm airgap and made a whopping 579 ft lbs@4000rpm's, i think these dual plains make good power.
