last time i took out my coils it was difficult to keep one of the coils in place and the more i would compress it , it would slip off the lip (topside) that holds it in place, it would slip over((under the lip and i couldnt crowbar it back into place, so i had to leave it a tad bit off center, which made noise, so i am thinkin i could fab a 1 inch metal cylinder with a 1/2 inch lip around the top of it and i could do these on both sides so they cant move, what do you all think? thanks

just like the rubber pads only metal and scrap the rubber! it will work yes?! i will use lots of grease!
