Hi Guys,
Anyone want to take a stab at my expected Hoss power?
Engine rundown:
'65 289, 30thou over
10.5:1 comp
Ported heads with Chev Valves (1.9/1.6)
1.6 Roller rockers
E303 Roller cam (Ford Motorsports E-303 .498/.498 282/282 220/[email protected] LSA 110 LCA 107/117)
Edelbrock Performer Airgap
Holley 650DP

Also an exhaust question:
What would better suit this engine spec? Tri-Y headers or long tube 4 into 1's? 21/4" twin system of course....

Any suggestions on the spec? Nothing is Concrete at the moment...

Ben

I would guess 325-350 hp.Sounds like a very nice little combo. The theory is that the tri-ys give a little better bottom and mid range while the 4 into ones are better on the top end.I guess it depends on what you plan to do with the vehicle and how much it weighs.I've seen dyno pulls where the tri-ys outperformed the 4 into 1s so the one with the best fit and quality would be my choice.

Well, Its going into a 65 GT350 Clone, and will see mainly street use, but might see some circuit work every now and then.
I'll probably get the Tri-Y's cos there alot easier to get for a LHD car here in Aus..
